Design Campaigns to Drive Revenue: Level Up Your Affiliate Marketing

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve our Sales and Affiliate Tracking capabilities, we’re excited to announce several new updates.
Table of contents

With rising ad costs and tighter budgets, brands are increasingly relying on creators to drive tangible ROI through affiliate marketing. Data shows that brands see a 35% increase in AOV when the source is an affiliate, and a whopping 2,200% boost in affiliate sales when leveraging influencers.

Aspire brands have been uniquely successful, leveraging our Sales Tracking platform to unlock unprecedented growth in sales and ROI. The numbers speak for themselves.

  • AN Skin generated $1 million in sales in 12 months.
  • Rad Power Bikes boosted their ROI by 561% in 5 months.
  • 4moms saw an impressive 30% increase in conversions.

What’s their secret? They’ve tested different types of creators, content, and platforms to find the optimal way to reach their target market. Through Aspire, brands can track influencer-driven sales by integrating affiliate links and codes into their influencer campaigns.

As part of our ongoing efforts to enable brands to work with affiliates at scale, we’re excited to announce the following enhancements to Sales Tracking Offers:

  • Multiple Payout Options: Define multiple commission payout options within an offer and easily move creators from one payout level to another.
  • Ability to Edit Offers per Creator: Edit the commission payout value and other settings for a single member or set of members.
  • Multiple Shopify Store Support: Generate cascading offers through one Shopify store and choose to activate offers on their other connected Shopify stores.
  • Conversion Management: Access reports on all affiliate conversions with the option to reject orders when needed. Protect your brand from promo code leaks or fake purchases.
  • Real-time Reporting: Detailed reporting at the offer and the creator level provides you with the transparency and confidence to make data-driven decisions — allowing you to build advocacy that converts and double down on creators driving the most impact.

Keep reading for a deeper dive of these new features.

Multiple Payout Options

When creating a Link Tracking or Promo Code offer, users see a ‘Commission & Payout’ section, where you can define if creators are eligible for any commissions for the sales and conversions that they drive — and if so, how much they are going to receive for each conversion.

Before our update, users could only select one payout option per offer, which automatically applied to all members in the offer. However, we know that you may need more flexibility with payout structures depending on the nature of your campaign. That’s why we’ve updated the payout options, allowing you to assign different payout values to creators.

With this release, we are adding the following capabilities:

  • Ability to define multiple payout options within one offer
  • Ability to select a payout option when adding a member or set of members to an offer
  • Ability to set a default payout option per offer

Ability to Edit Offers per Member

Users can now edit offers for individual members or a specific set of members, rather than automatically applying edits to all members within the offer.

There are 3 core actions you’ll be able to take per member after they’ve been added to an offer:

  • Edit payout values: Increase a member’s commission from 10% to 15%, or change a member’s payout structure from cost per click to percentage of sales. For detailed instructions on how to edit payout values, check out this article
  • Activate or deactivate offers: Bulk activate or deactivate promo codes and/or links. For detailed instructions on how to activate or deactivate offers, check out this article
  • Refresh promo code names: Update promo code names and reissue promo codes to specific members if you detect a promo code leak or need to change a code to accommodate a creator’s request for a particular code name. For detailed instructions on how to refresh promo codes, check out this article

You can edit offers for individual members or a specific set of members from the following places:

  1. Sales tracking dashboard
  2. Any project workflow stage
  3. Member profiles

Multiple Shopify Store Support

Lastly, we’ve got some exciting new updates for our brands with multiple stores on Shopify.

Before today, brands with multiple Shopify stores had to manually recreate affiliate promo codes for each of their stores in Aspire. Now with our latest feature launch, brands will be able to generate cascading promo codes through one Shopify store and choose to activate the same codes on their other connected stores.

This feature is primarily useful for brands that have multiple Shopify stores that want to create a consistent experience for their customers. For example, a brand that sells its products in both the US and UK may have separate Shopify stores for each country. Without cascading promo codes, the brand would have to create separate promo codes and duplicate member (creator) records for each of their Shopify stores in Aspire.

Now, Multiple Shopify Store Support offers these key changes to empower brands to accurately track performance across multiple stores and optimize campaigns to supercharge conversions.

  • Support for cascading promo codes across multiple Shopify stores: Create a promo offer in one Shopify store and automatically have the same promo codes available in other connected stores. For detailed instructions on how to set this up, check out this article.
  • Offer level reporting: Automatically collect and associate all conversions connected to a promo code across all connected stores to the member. Click here to see more details about this feature.
  • Member level reporting: Click “View Stats” to see a summary of the conversions a member has driven. Because promo codes from each store are connected to the same offer, brands can see how many conversions a creator has driven for each store. Ultimately, this allows brands to quickly identify and reinvest in their top-performing creators who drive the most conversions or the biggest orders.
  • Offer Update History: When editing an offer, brands can expand the Offer Update History to see a log of previous changes to the offer.
  • Setup and activation for Multiple Shopify support: Manage Admin, Workspace, and Offer level settings and oversee cascading offers across multiple Shopify stores.

These Shopify Promo Code Offer enhancements are available to all Aspire customers starting today. Log in to your Aspire account to view the changes.
